

Coffea canephora
Strong, Bold, Earthy. Low acidity, full body, often described as bitter, woody, or rubbery. Used primarily in espresso blends (for crema) and instant coffee. Conilon is the name used for Robusta in Brazil
Accounts for ~40% of world production. Grown at lower altitudes. Hardy plant, very resistant to pests and disease (“Robust”). High caffeine content (approx. 2.5–4.5% by weight).
